Actor/Director/Teaching Artist

Michele Vazquez is an actor, director, and teaching artist in the Chicagoland area. As an actor, she has appeared Off-Broadway in NYC and has performed at various theaters both nationally and internationally. She is an ensemble member of Williams Street Repertory, Raue Center's in-house professional theatre company in the northwest suburbs of Chicago.

Her television credits include several national commercial spots and appearances on “Chicago Fire,” “Chicago Med,” and “A Gifted Man,” among others.

As a director, her focus has been on new play development and Shakespeare. Michele has directed with WordBRIDGE Playwright’s Lab, WildWind, NYU Dept of Dramatic Writing, The Actors Studio, and many others.

Michele earned her MFA from Old Globe Theatre and her BFA from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She is a proud member of the Actors Equity Association and SAG-AFTRA.

  • July 2024 - Appears as Becca Reyes in Episode 9 of the MGM+ limited series EMPEROR OF OCEAN PARK with Forest Whitaker.

  • October 2022 - Co-starred as Danielle Shaw in Season 8, Episode 8 of CHICAGO MED.

  • March 4, 2020: Michele appears in a guest spot as Deanne, a high-end realtor, in Season 8, Episode 16, "Tendency of a Drowning Victim" of CHICAGO FIRE.

  • March-April 2019: Michele appears as Vivian in the World Premiere of "Lottery Day," the final play in Ike Holter's RIGHTLYND SAGA at The Goodman Theatre.

  • Jan 2019: Michele appears in American Theatre magazine's ROLE CALL of people to watch.Fall 2018: directs WORLD PREMIERE of Deborah Yarchun's "Bomber's Moon" with Williams Street Repertory.

  • June 2018: directs development workshop of Juilliard playwright Tony Meneses' "Rita Tambien Rita" at WildWIND Performance Laboratory at Texas Tech University.

  • March 2018: guest star appearance as Karen Ruiz on CHICAGO MED, Episode #319 "A Crisis of Confidence."

  • Winter 2017: Goodman Theatre debut as Mrs. Cratchit in the 40th Anniversary production of "A Christmas Carol".

  • March 2017: appears as Margaret Ballard in the Chicagoland Premiere of George Brant's "Any Other Name," directed by Brad Raimondo for Williams Street Repertory.

  • Summer 2016: directs Yasmina Reza's "Art" at Williams Street Repertory, as a part of the 2016-2017 Season.
